Apangea has both strong technical resources and a content-development prowess that enables it to harness advanced Web technologies and offer innovative instruction techniques for the education industry.

Mark DeSantis :: Chief Executive Officer

Mark is the interim Chief Executive Officer of Apangea Learning where he was previously a member of the board of directors. He is also President and Co-founder of MobileFusion, Inc., a sensor analytics company. He was previously the US Managing Director of ANGLE Technology, PLC, a publicly traded venture capital and consulting firm. Prior to joining ANGLE, Mark co-founded several technology-based businesses and is a director to several other technology firms in the US. Prior to moving to Pittsburgh, Mark was last a Director of Government Relations for Texas Instruments, Inc. in Washington, DC and also held a variety of policy positions in the executive and legislative branches of the US federal government. He was previously a management consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton. Mark is currently an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University and holds a BA, MBA, MS and PhD.

Louis Piconi :: Chief Education Officer/VP of National Accounts/Co-Founder

As Chief Education Officer, and Vice President of National Accounts for Apangea Learning, Louis focuses on building relationships to implement state level programs and developing the long-term competitive position of Apangea Learning's solutions. Prior to founding Apangea Learning, Louis launched WiredOrg.com, an innovative Intranet startup company and served as COO of CommNav, Inc., an early stage portal infrastructure company. He was also Managing Director of the IT Networks for the Pittsburgh Technology Council (PTC). Louis earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Robert Delach :: Chief Financial Officer

Bob is the Chief Financial Officer for Apangea Learning, Inc. He also serves as Chief Financial Officer for MobileFusion, Inc., a sensor analytics company. Bob was one of the founding shareholders and CFO of MRO Direct, Inc. - a $4 million commercial industrial start up - that provided supply chain procurement efficiencies for indirect materials. Bob also has substantial executive and consulting experience with a variety of early stage growth companies including serving as the CEO of Falcon Plastics, Chief Financial Officer at Mallet Technology and COO/CFO at Brightline L.P. He is a Certified Public Accountant with a B.S. in accounting from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

Bruce E. G. Smith :: VP of Sales and Marketing

As Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Bruce has been in sales and executive sales management for almost 40 years in the information technology environment. He has held previous executive positions with IBM, RCA, iGate Corporation, Westinghouse Communications and British Telecom North America, Inc. He also ran a web-based software division for Paradigm Solutions in Rockville, Maryland. Having spent several years with IBM Sales in Philadelphia, Bruce joined the Detroit office of a Silicon Valley company, Tymshare, which later became part of BT North America. He was promoted to Branch Manager in Pittsburgh. Then, he joined Westinghouse Communications as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He has sold computer mainframes, minicomputers, voice and data networking, infrastructure services for PCs, ERP software, off-shore outsourcing and Internet-based software. He helped form Achieving Sales Results, LLC, a sales consulting and coaching business. Bruce has a B.A. in English from Albright College in Reading, PA.

Jeremy Trabucco :: VP of Operations and Account Services

As Vice President of Operations and Account Services, Jeremy is responsible for customer support, service implementation and training, and education services. Prior to joining Apangea, he was an Executive-In-Residence for Idea Foundry, a technology start-up partnership. Jeremy has broad executive and consulting experience with a variety of early and expansion stage companies and held interim CEO and COO positions. Prior to that, he executed national business models and growth strategies for technology companies in senior operations and sales executive positions notably for ARCCA, Inc. a visual design technology company, and IKON, Inc. a legal technology company. Jeremy serves on multiple business and non-profit boards and was adjunct professor at Point Park University. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration and Management from Slippery Rock University.

Glen Zollman :: Director, State Implementations

As Director of State Implementation, Glen oversees state-wide Apangea programs. He works closely with the Department of Education and State Legislators, while managing State Implementation teams to ensure positive implementation and provide continual consultative support. Glen recently moved into the State Implementation Director position, after he successfully launched Apangea's first state-wide program as the Lead Implementation Specialist. Prior to joining Apangea, Glen developed content and assessment tools, along with rewriting the secondary math standards for both the Boise School District and the Idaho State Department of Education. Glen also brings to Apangea fourteen years of classroom experience as a high school and college math teacher. Glen earned his Bachelor of Science in Music Education from University of Idaho and his MBA from University of Phoenix.
