2nd Math Class Improves Student's Pass Rate by 102%
Pittsburgh, PA
Faison Intermediate Campus
The majority of students at Faison Intermediate were failing the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA). To prepare for the PSSA, the school utilized the 4Sight replication exam 3 to 4 times a year to assist in instruction and to facilitate student practice. An Apangea Math class was developed in which students met for 40 minutes, 5 days a week from January through May. The 4Sight passing percentage increased from 36% to 73% and parents requested that their children use Apangea Math over the summer!
