78% of Struggling Summer School Students Pass CRCT
Oconee County, GA
Malcom Bridge Middle School
A group of 8th grade students at Malcom Bridge Middle School, including many students with learning disabilities, failed the CRCT (criterion-referenced competency test) which prevented them from moving to 9th grade. Malcom Bridge Middle School then used Apangea Math as a core component of their summer school curriculum. An Apangea Math pathway was custom created and implemented for a 4-week summer school program to prepare them to re-take the CRCT. 78% of these students passed their CRCT and were able to move on to the 9th grade.

Testimony
"My student passed math in his classroom for the first time in years. He found a confidence in Apangea he had not had before and it carried over into his regular math class. He is highly competitive and became motivated by points and his desire to see his name on the screen, beating out the others. It's the first time in a long time he was pumped up, according to his mother." -Jamie Parker, Teacher
